Catherine
Catherine came to Greater Orlando Medical Weight Loss from Upstate New York, where she was born and raised. She attended the University of Rochester for her undergraduate studies, earning degrees in the fields of Psychology and Health Science. After a year of interning in Boston, MA, Catherine returned to Buffalo to accept the position of counselor at a private practice for bariatric patients. During her six years there, she gained a strong interest in the biochemistry of obesity, and more particularly with its associated brain functions. She also developed an affinity for working directly with patients and began to recognize the value of the counselor-patient relationship in achieving desired outcomes. Catherine went on to attend Medaille College in Buffalo, NY to obtain her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. She has a passion for continuing education and research, and is an 8-year member of the American Counseling Association. In her free time, Catherine enjoys traveling, comedy, being with friends, and spending time with her fiancé and two cats.
